About Rev. Daniel A. White
Reverend Daniel A. White is the Pastor of Glad Tidings Open Bible Church (GTOBC) in Spanish Town, Jamaica. With over three decades of faithful service to the ministry, Rev. White has become a pillar of spiritual leadership, community engagement, and youth empowerment within the church and beyond.
He began his pastoral journey as Assistant Pastor, serving diligently for five years before being installed as Senior Pastor in November 2001, following the passing of Rev. Cedric Lue. Since then, he has led the church through a period of intentional growth and transformation, emphasizing both spiritual depth and organizational excellence.
Rev. White is passionate about creating dynamic worship experiences that reflect the vibrancy of the Body of Christ. Under his leadership, GTOBC has embraced modern tools for ministry, including state-of-the-art sound and multimedia systems, while maintaining a deep commitment to biblical teaching and Spirit-led worship.
A visionary with a heart for the next generation, Rev. White has cultivated a church environment where approximately 75% of the membership comprises young people and professionals. He actively supports ministries that speak to the whole person—including drama, dance, men’s and women’s fellowships, and singles ministries—ensuring that every member finds their place and purpose in the Kingdom.
Beyond the pulpit, Rev. White is known for his deep community involvement. He has led peace-building efforts such as the 100-Man March in Spanish Town and oversees the Glad Tidings Early Childhood Development Centre, which educates over 150 children, laying the foundation for both academic and spiritual growth.
